Norwegian Citizen Panel

The Norwegian Citizen Panel is a web-based survey of public opinion on different areas of society and politics in Norway.

The Citizen Panel represent a cross-section of the Norwegian population register, and participants are invited to share their opinions on society and politics. The panel was fielded for the first time in the fall of 2013 and the survey is carried out about twice a year.

The Citizen Panel is owned and administered by the University of Bergen and the Rokkan Centre. It is a non-profit project exclusively utilised for research purposes.

Data from wave 1 to 7 is available for non-commercial purposes when ordered.

Format

All surveys can be downloaded is formats that support SPSS, Stata and SAS.

Citation requirements

Users are obliged to refer to producer and distributor of the data.

Deposit requirements

Access to data is given on the condition that NSD gets three copies, alternatively a PDF-file, of eventual reports that are written on the basis of the data. These will be referred to on our webpages and can be made accessible online, if requested.
