Samfunnsveven
Samfunnsveven is an interactive web-based teaching materials in social subjects for senior high school. The material exists in Norwegian only and is free of charge.
Pupils in the Role as Researcher
Samfunnsveven is developed by Norwegian Social Science Data Services particularly as a School Election information service and teaching resource. The major idea behind Safunnsveven is "learning-by-doing" and thus to provide students with knowledge and insight about the society in which they are living. The goal is to take advantages of young peoples immanent curiosity.
A Social Science Laboratory
Samfunnsveven contains data from several sources, including a number of surveys, Norwegian regional data and data about Norwegian political institutions. Although the data sources are the basis for included learing tasks, the studens have the freedom to create their own independent research projects based on the data.
