Administrative Division
The Principality of Liechtenstein is situated in the Alps between Austria and Switzerland and is bounded in the west by the Rhine River. Vaduz is the capital.
The country is divided into eleven communities (Gemeinden), which each have an elected council (Gemeinderat) and mayor (Vorsteher), who together have authority over the delivery of most local services.
